$205 for registered psychologists
NDIS Plan Managed
All fees as per NDIS price guide, therapy/intervention sessions will also require a 10mins non face-to-face fee to cover session planning, resource preparation, brief cobtacts in beteern sessions etc...
Couples Counselling
$275 for registered psychologist (private health rebates may apply)
Phone calls/consultations
These are charged based on the private hourly rates above, occasional and very brief phone calls/consultations under 15 minutes are not charged separately (see above).
Phone calls and consultations of 15 minutes and above (or regular phone consultations) are charged accordingly, in 10 minute blocks.
Phone consultations via NDIS plan managed funds or using Medicare funding are charged according to the relevant hourly rate.
If Medicare rebates are sought for phone consultations/sessions the rebate will be taken from the maximum 10 sessions per calendar year, regardless of the length of time of the call, as such it may be more cost effective to pay the private fee and save the rebate for a full session.
Report/letter/support plan fees**
Based on the hourly rates as above. A brief report/letter/support plan is likely to be 1-2 hours, a longer assessment report maybe 3-4 hours or longer.
Reports/letters take time to prepare and we need at least 3-4 weeks lead time to prepare assessments/reviews/report writing time.
Report/letters are only released upon payment being received for the report/letter and all accounts being up to date. Overdue accounts or non-payment of report/letter will delay release of report/letters.
**We do not write references/assessment/reports for court.
Fees are payable on the day, or via direct deposit in special circumstances.
Our Assessment Fees
Our Medicare and Mental Health Services Funding options:
If you have a mental health care plan from your GP you may be eligible for rebates via Medicare for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. For Medicare funded sessions our fees vary from $205 to $240. If you are accessing Medicare rebates, your out of pocket expense will be approximately $110 per session. As of 1 March 2023 Medicare will allow two of the 10 rebates to be used for sessions where the client is not present, for example parent sessions.
A mental health care plan does not mean free sessions. Free access to a psychologist (for eligible people) can be accessed using specific funding called CAREinMIND. See link below for more information.
We also occasionally see people through TAC, Victims of Crime, Victims Assistance Program (case by case basis).
