We are seeking Medicare eligible clinicians of varied experience who are passionate about providing collaborative clinical mental health support to kids, teens and their families. We also see adults for support with mild mental health difficulties, including neurodiversity related challenges and general parenting stress and adjustment concerns. We see many neurodivergent kids and teens.
We have room on our ND friendly team for early career psychs and MH social workers looking to develop their skills in a paed setting, as well as experienced clinicians wanting to extend their leadership skills.
We are a family-focused practice with lots of opportunities for collaboration and shared work.
We offer families a unique wrap-around service.
Contracting fees or salary are well above the industry standard with professional development funds available.
Board approved (clinical endorsement) and ND affirming supervision is available onsite with Katherine, who is an ND psychologist.

Family Minded is a child and family psychology practice in Sunbury, Victoria (just 15 mins from Melbourne Airport) providing a high quality clinical service to children, young people, and their families in the Sunbury and Macedon Ranges areas. We are a highly sought after service with a strong local reputation for friendly, family-focussed support and clinical expertise across a range of clinical presentations.
Family Minded provides support to kids and families experiencing a range of challenges including anxiety, mood problems, relationship problems, and behaviour difficulties. In addition, we support neurodivergent people with autism and ADHD. We see a diverse range of clinical presentations and clinician development of specialisation in areas of expertise and interest is supported.

We are seeking early career or experienced psychologists or MH social workers with a passion for working collaboratively, in a neurodiversity affirmative way with kids, teens and families presenting with a range of challenges. The position is very flexible and could be part-time or subcontracting with a full time position available for the right applicant.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Fully registered psychologist (AHPRA) or MH social worker (AASW)
- Must be eligible to register with Medicare
- Be highly motivated to work with neurodivergent kids and families, from a neurodiversity affirming framework (or have a passion to learn more about this area)
- Have strong (or developing) clinical knowledge and skills in working with kids and teens in either/both
- Intervention to support developing self regulation skills, addressing anxiety and mood difficulties, behaviour management, interpersonal skills, flexible thinking and so forth, in addition to parent/family psychoeducation, school support. In addition to mental health specific therapy and treatment across a range of high prevalence disorders.
- Assessment skills using formal and informal assessments, excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to synthesise information from a range of sources in to a coherent and accessible clinical report and feedback, and clinical experience in developing clinically relevant and specific recommendations.
- Professional indemnity insurance
- Demonstrated experience in engaging with children/adolescents, including those who are neurodivergent.
- Have excellent team work skills
- A growth and learning mindset.
Highly regarded skills:
- Demonstrated experience in assessment or intervention in an autism support setting
- Demonstrated experience in family work
- Demonstrated experience in a clinical mental health setting
