  • Collaboration: Working together respectfully and constructively.
  • Curiosity: Seeking to understand with empathy.
  • Compassion: Responding with care and sensitivity.
  • Creativity: Being flexible and solutions-focused.

What We Expect from Everyone
  • To maintain a positive and safe space, we ask that all clients, caregivers, and visitors:
  • Respect Others
  • Treat all people with kindness and empathy
  • Communicate clearly and calmly, even during challenges
  • Maintain a respectful tone in person, on the phone, and in written communication

Ensure Safety
  • Aggression, intimidation, bullying, harassment, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated
  • Our team has a zero-tolerance policy for unsafe or threatening behaviour
  • Inappropriate conduct may lead to temporary or permanent suspension from services

Protect Privacy
  • Respect the confidentiality of others in the clinic or online
  • Don’t share or discuss other people’s information
  • Be mindful of conversations in shared spaces (e.g., waiting rooms, group programs)

Care for Our Clinic Space
  • Treat clinic property with care
  • Accidental or deliberate damage may incur repair or replacement costs
  • Help us maintain a clean, child-friendly space for all

What Happens If These Standards Aren’t Met
  • We aim to resolve concerns respectfully and constructively. However, if someone behaves in a way that compromises safety, respect, or the therapeutic space:
  • They may be temporarily suspended from attending in-person sessions
  • They may continue with parent sessions online if appropriate
  • Re-entry can be negotiated with a clear commitment to respectful engagement
  • Ongoing inappropriate behaviour may result in being exited permanently from our service

A Welcoming and Inclusive Clinic
We proudly welcome individuals of all neurotypes, backgrounds, genders, cultures, and family structures. We ask that everyone who visits Family Minded supports our inclusive values so that our space remains safe and respectful for all.
