Cancelled and Missed Appointments
We respect that your time is valuable and we appreciate that you understand ours is too.
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel or reschedule your appointment 24 hours or more before the scheduled time you will not be charged an additional cost. If you miss an appointment or cancel it within 24 hours you will be charged a $55 fee. This fee must be paid within 72 hours of the missed appointment in order to keep your future regular appointment times. If there is a crisis or immediate health concern please discuss this with our admin team or your clinician. To cancel an appointment please contact your clinician on 03 9811 7052. If you are ringing to cancel an appointment and get our voicemail, your message will be timestamped and we will know that you have cancelled in a timely manner.
If appointments are frequently cancelled or rescheduled, this can result in you/your child losing their regular appointment time. Frequent therapy cancellations can mean that therapy becomes less useful as regular appointments are generally required. Also we have a very long waiting list and we feel a responsibility to the community to make the best use of our clinical time. If you are not able to commit to regular appointment times, please discuss this with your clinician. If you continue to frequently cancel appointments we may have cancel your times so we can offer your appointment time to another person on the waiting list. If this happens, you can request to be be put back on the waiting list for a time that suits you better, however you will be subject to the normal waiting periods.
