Account Issues
Overdue Account Policy
Family Minded understands that financial challenges can arise unexpectedly. This policy outlines our approach to managing overdue accounts in a way that is respectful, transparent, and supportive—balancing client wellbeing with the financial sustainability of our clinic.
---
Our Goal
Our aim is to maintain access to psychological support while ensuring fair and ethical management of clinic finances. We are committed to working collaboratively with clients to find solutions that are both practical and compassionate.
Flexible Payment Plans
We offer flexible repayment options to support clients in managing outstanding balances. Requirements of our payment plans include:
Financial Hardship and Support
We encourage open dialogue about financial concerns. Clients experiencing hardship may be eligible for support through their GP via a mental health care plan, or through funded programs such as CAREinMIND. Family Minded is a participating provider. Please note: we are unable to accept new CAREinMIND referrals until previous accounts are settled or an approved payment plan is in place.
---
Escalation and Debt Recovery
If a client is unable or unwilling to meet their repayment obligations and has not engaged with the clinic to negotiate an alternative plan, the account may be referred to a professional debt collection service as a last resort. This step is taken only after multiple reminders and offers of support have been made.
